Tip for Microsoft Windows
To display a Web Page Using the Address, do the following:
- Click Address box arrow.
- Click URL in Address list.
- Click Address box arrow.
- Type URL until Address list box displays.
- Click URL in Address list.
Tip for Microsoft PowerPoint
When you save a file using the Save button on the Formatting toolbar, PowerPoint saves only your changes. This accelerates the saving time but increases file size. If you want to reduce file size, do the following:
- Click Tools on the Menu Bar.
- Choose the Options command.
- Select the Save tab.
- Clear the Allow Fast Saves check box.
- Click Ok.
Tip for Microsoft Access
If in a Web table you found some information you want to store using Access 2000, do the following:
- Save the HTML table from your web browser
- Click File on the Menu bar.
- Point to Get External Data
- Click Import
Tip for Excel
When Excel starts, it creates a new empty workbook. It is called Book 1. This workbook called Book 1, is similar to a notebook and you will find inside it sheets, which are called worksheets. Each one of these sheets appears on a sheet tab at the bottom of the workbook.
If you have various worksheets related to the same subject or work project, instead of creating a different file for each one, you can create single worksheets within your workbookby doing the following:
- Click Insert on the Menu bar.
- Click Worksheet
The new worksheet appears as the rightmost tab at the bottom of the worksheet.If you want to rename the new worksheet, perform the following steps:
- Right-click its tab.
- Click Rename
- Type the new name.
- Click outside the tab
If you want to rearrange the order of the worksheets, simply drag the tab to the desired location. If you want to switch amongst worksheets, just click the tab of the worksheet you want to view.
Tip for Microsoft Word
If you want to go to the beginning of your document, simply press and hold down the Ctrl key and press the Home key. Then release both keys.
By the same token, if you want to go to the end of your document, simply press and hold down the Ctrl key and press the End key. Then release both keys.
